Studio Hanson is a Hitchin-based interior design practice, designing for homes and select commercial spaces in Hertfordshire, London and the surrounding areas.
Founded in 2007 by Janet Hanson (as Janet Hanson Interiors) we have an elegant yet contemporary approach to interior design, mixing periods and styles; modern design with vintage finds to create rooms which feel authentic, yet current.
We collaborate with architects, 3D visualisers and expert craftsmen as required, to bring you a fully realised interior design service with the ultimate aim of delivering inviting, individual and comfortable spaces
in which to live.

"We asked for Janet's help when refurbishing our master bedroom. The bedroom has a sloping ceiling which limits the furniture and layout of the room and we couldn't see how to make it work. Janet saw past the wall-to-wall 80s fitted furniture, instinctively understood our style and designed a room with innovative built-in storage, lovely fixtures and fittings and a really interesting colour palette, all the while working to complement a wallpaper that we had already purchased. Janet did a bespoke package for us, enabling us to be in charge of sourcing everything but stepping in to help/advise where needed. We love the result of her work and now have a really functional, comfortable, stylish and restful bedroom. We also learned lots of tips from her we can use in the future!"
